You guys! I cannot believe the time has come, I’m living in Georgia with 39 of my best friends. I can’t lie, the first week came with its struggles… adapting to my 88 x 52in tent space, using the porta potties that seem to fill to the tippy top immediately after they’re cleaned, and having NO cute nor clean clothes- then wanting to call my parents and tell them I don’t know what I was thinking because this is SO out of my comfort zone. However, the longer I’m here, the more I’m realizing that it’s all inessential and not even a smidge of the sacrifice that the Lord has done for us. I’m also becoming grateful for the little things like seeing the stars in the night sky, warm oatmeal at breakfast time, and my tent not flooding or molding after the rain. Honestly praise God for the little things! Small wins are something my team has been learning and celebrating and it’s been something I’ve stuck by since. When it feels like the days are long and the nights are short, it’s easy to physically feel tired and drained but choosing joy and being steadfast and open with my team has allowed for the some of the best and most encouraging conversations. I’ve even found myself looking towards scripture as my first resort when usually I’ve depended on people first, then the Lord. It’s always refreshing to read scripture and find comfort in Him and to know that he’s right there next to me holding my hand and walking before me. He is so SO good, and that’s where I find my truth and learn my purpose. Everyday is a win, I’m thankful for his love and mercy, what an honor to be a Daughter of the King.

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24

Whats next? We’re headed to North Shore, Louisiana on October 16 to aid in disaster relief for the homes that were flooded due to Hurricane Ida. We officially launch overseas to Guatemala on November 5 and I’m pumped to see the fruit that is harvested this season whether evangelizing or just letting them see the Lord through me.

Oh, and heres a few of the pretty girls from my squad!

ALSO! Although my fundraising bar hasn’t updated yet, I surpassed fully funded and wanted to thank everyone SO much for donating and pouring into me so I can be a messenger and spread the word to the ends of the earth. I’m forever blessed to my supporters for both the financial support and bold prayers.

Thank you for reading!

All my love, Lexi

  1. Therefore I testify to you on this day that I am pure from the blood of all.
For I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God.

  2. Alexis, we had all the confidence that you could handle this. God equips the called and you are beginning to feel that through your training and scripture. We may not know the how and why or sometimes even the where but when you lean on HIS understanding, your path will always be true. You are setting s GREAT example for so many young and old alike. We are proud of you! Keep putting one step in front of the other.

  3. Lexi, I love it when God gets us to the places where we genuinely appreciate the little things. In this season of your life, one of the best ways to grow in and with the Lord is to cultivate a heart of gratitude – for everything! For a few years, I kept a gratitude journal and literally listed everything I could think of to be thankful to God for. The list was endless. Sounds like you are on a similar path. I love to hear about what God is doing in each of your hearts there in Gainesville. Keep looking for all those little things to give the thanks and the glory back to the Father. I’m keeping all of Team Haven covered in prayer!

  4. Stay strong little one. Before you know it, you’ll be an old pro at roughing it. God’s you sweetie. I love and miss you much!??
