HI FRIENDS!

Just checking in to update you all as we approach our final few weeks in South Africa and this week being our last at ministry. My team had the privilege of working with Beats & Books where we welcomed students after school to help them with literacy and numeracy personalized to their needs. We also taught discipleship classes and a variety of instruments, so that they can lead worship of their own. All of the kiddos at B&B are very high achieving with majority on scholarship to the best schools in JBay. I’ve learned so much from these kids; their humility and their drive - and i’m not looking forward to saying goodbye.  However, I know they’ll be in great hands with our ministry hosts, that care so deeply for each and every student. I do ask that you please keep Auntie Carla and Uncle Jonathan (our ministry hosts) in your prayers as they were recently denied a visa renewal to remain in South Africa. They have appealed and are currently waiting to see if it’s accepted, if not, they will have to return to Chile (their home country.) We are still confident that the Lord has a superior plan and purpose for their family and is holding them in the palm of his hand, whatever the outcome may be. Pray for Beats & Books, and any student, volunteer, or missionary who walks through those doors!
